Initial Framing of CAD model of Oiler
So, I finally got some progress worth showing again on the Oiler. you can see in this picture
the detailed lines of the ribs, keel, and deck supports for the oiler. I still have some adjustments to make on the deck alignment on some ribs, and I still have the caprail to add, as well as the notches for fitting it all together. After that, I plan to spec out the prop shafts and rudder posts. With luck, I might even get it into a state we can review it in detail at our next meet.

Looking good Charles!
Re: Initial Framing of CAD model of Oiler
I was looking at them a little closer and had a question - were you going to have solid blocks of wood at the ends of the ship? If so you probably should move the ribs 1" forward/aft. This will give you less solid material at the ends of the ship.

I was looking at a solid block on the front, but haven't quite figured out the back. As I continue to work on it, I'm having some difficulty getting things to fit together properly there.
