Ordered New ESC for KGV
Those at the last meet remember the unique speed control I was using (since KGV was built, wow) finally blew out (fortunately not horifically) and I was running with my LSTs speed control. Well I finally broke down and bought a Pro boat Marine (waterproff) speed controler. I should get it in about a week. I also bought some plastic PVC sections to redo/relocate the firing control servo mount. I am going to basically redo a lot of the internals (espically the wiring) in KGV to take advantage of the new technology that is out now (as opposed to when KGV was built, dang is she that old). New tech being mostly ESCs, and micro servos (with torc).
Oh, here is a hint if anyone wants to find some small sheets (4"x4") of PVC to make mounts (or other items), use electrical box blank covers. Most electrical and home improvement stores (like LOWES) has them in access. They usually run slightly over $1 each and can easly be cut with a saw or utility knife (scoring back and forth a few times), but it is not brittle and is thick enough to be tapped to accept a screw (tap & die set needed). They are usually blue in color, but will have some type of screw hole in each of the four corners (so you won't get the full 4"x4"). Also it is PCV so PCV primer & glue should be all you need.

Re: Ordered New ESC for KGV
That is a great tip about using electrical box covers for plastic stock. Thanks.

Yea it's kind of a home away from home... or maybe I should say it is my home (at lease it sometimes feels that way).
