Maker Faire: North Carolina
The Mid-Atlantic Battle Group will have a table at this year's Maker Faire in North Carolina. The MABG will have a couple of boats on hand for people to look at as well as a live fire demonstration showing how Big Guns R/C warship cannons operate.
This is an all day event which promises to have lots of other great do-it-yourself projects on display. If you come down the day before you can also attend the annual ShopBot Jamboree which is being held on Saturday at the same location.
Time & Location
This is an all day event on Sunday April 25, 2010. Club members will be setting the table up at 8:00 am and doors open to the public at 9:00. The event ends at 9:00 PM. However, due to the travel time we will probably take our table down a couple of hours earlier. (this post will be updated as plans firm up)
The event will be held at Loehmann's Plaza in Durham, North Carolina. The address of the plaza is 1821 Hillandale Rd, Durham NC 27705. The Maker Faire site has a great directions page.

Re: Maker Faire: North Carolina
I am finally home. The turnout at the Maker Faire was nothing short of amazing. Our table was swamped, and I mean swamped from 9 am until 6:00 pm or so and had a steady stream of people until 8:00 pm when Charles and I finally had to quit. My thanks to Tom. Charles and Andrea for helping man the booth and to Mary for her support as well.
We got a mention in the Durham Herald-Sun's article on the Maker Faire!
We were too busy to take many pictures but the two I did take have been posted. (Click on pictures to see full size)
Now I going to get some rest...
