I honestly have no idea why the site can not create a thumbnail for this image. The modules for making the thumbnails and previews seem to have trouble with some images. Please try and stick with 4:3 (width:height) ratio images...
Obviously our service provider is mucking around with something... Now the thumbnail is working fine... At least the performace seems to be finally getting back to where it should be.
