Missouri, refit, and ready for sea trials
So, with the hull repaired, I am ready to declare Missouri refitted and ready for Sea Trials.
Gunnery trials is another story... when I get the CO2 parts (this weekend maybe?) I should be able to get the guns working quickly (hopefully). Meanwhile, some pictures of the refitted hull.
I didn't have the original paint number I used for the red (below water-line) hull, and apparently I didn't match it exactly. Oh well, in the future I'll keep track of the paint color. Fortunately, I still had some of the grey hull paint.

Re: Missouri, refit, and ready for sea trials
This is great news! I will bring your CO2 parts and ammo up this weekend.
Re: Missouri, refit, and ready for sea trials
If you come up Friday, or early Saturday, we maybe even can get the CO2 working.
I am planning on conducting sea trials at our Lucketts Pond on Sunday Afternoon. It would be great if I could also have Gunnery Trials at the same time... but perhaps that is trying to do too much with everything else going on this weekend.
Re: Missouri, refit, and ready for sea trials
I think you and Tom should definitely get together if you can. I think it would be a great shot in the arm for both of you. I will probably not stay up for a Sunday afternoon sailing... I really want to have Nassau ready for skinning and painting by the time Kyle arrives on August 1st. I would rather get home to get a few hours more work done on Nassau then stay and verify that your target ship is running correctly
I will talk with Diana about coming up Friday evening so we can install the CO2 fittings. I probably will come up early on Saturday though...
