Motor Mount

Picture of the motor mount for Nassau's center propeller. The ship still is very far from finished but you can see the twin rudder posts behind the motor (upper right) and the accumulator for the aft turret just forward of the timing belt (lower left).
The motor mount is custom made but the pulleys and timing belt were purchased from Small Parts. The timing belt pulleys are made from delrin, 0.0816 Pitch, 40DP, .376" diameter, 1/8" bore, For up to 1/4" wide belts. I drill and tapped holes for set screws. The timing belt is fiberglass reinforced neoprene, one-sided, 1/4" Wide x 4.00" Long, 50 Teeth.
The motor is a 550 size Mabuchi 3-20 VDC motor from All Electronics.

Re: Motor Mount
Make sure to grind "flats" on the shafts for those set screws!
Re: Motor Mount
Already have on Nassau but it really is not critical. Neither of the Lions have flats and neither have ever had a problem.
