Polish Battleship
FNS Paris French dreadnought battleship
Paris was completed in 1914 at Le Seyne and was modernised between the World Wars.
By the time of World War Two Paris was a harbour training ship. She sailed to England in June 1940 and became an accommodation ship for Polish seamen.
In scale she would be over 45 inches long.
and boasts 12 twelve inch guns in six turrets!
and 22 five inch guns.

Re: Polish Battleship
The Courbet Class ships might be a neat build but I've never seen one... Does anyone have decent cross sections of their hull?
How are your projects coming along?
Re: Polish Battleship
Still searching for the Bis / Tirp's ribs!
I am just going to empty out my work shop until I find them!
That may take a whole.
I just can't make new ones because the scale tech drawings for the ribs is in the same package as the ribs!!! UGH!!!
Been thinking about making a fiberglass deck for Lumpy. The curent one (Siding) has too much of a bow in it. It is driving me cRaZy!
Re: Polish Battleship
I am cleaning up a side and top view of the Paris in 144 scale. Have not started looking for a cross section of the hull yet. Looks like she has only a single rudder and four props.
So I am just having fun with the graphics for now. ( She has made my train ride home much shorter! )
I will be posting my graphics as soon as I have finshed cleaning them up.
Re: Polish Battleship
Found the hull lines on that French web site.
The are in 1/100 scale but I am converting them!
I have the hull cross section as well!
I finished redrawing the forward half on the train last night.
will work on the Stern half next.
Re: Polish Battleship
WOW she has 12 each 12 inch guns, 22 each 5 inch guns and four torpedo tubes!
I wonder if it would be possible to arm all of them???
That would be one heck of a broad side!!!
Finished redrawing the ribs in 144 scale.
Looking forward to this build.
Re: Polish Battleship
Those look great. How far apart will those ribs be?
I want to warn you that this ship will be crazy expensive and even more difficult to build. I really don't recommend starting work on this until you have finished Bis.
Re: Polish Battleship
Yes, Brian;
I do not expect to start this ship for some time to come. (Though I am finding my self drooling over the plans..)
I can see where I am going to have to use just about all of the trick you are using with the Nassau.
Yes, this has become a "Dream" ship for me. Only because she flew the red and white.
Re: Polish Battleship
Do these look usable?
If so, looks like we have another set of plans for the Club.
These are 144 scale.
I also noticed that Nassau and Paris use the same turrets!
