It's Spring Time!

It's Spring Time!

Here is a pic of how I replaced the dog bones (which were at a vert steep angle) with springs.  The springs were trimmed to length and placed over top of the brass connectors normally used with the dog bones.   In the foreground are the micro-chains that drive the outer shafts.  So far they have run for 15 mins in both forward and reverse with no problems.  Of course once on the water - all bets are off!

Re: It's Spring Time!

The springs are a neat idea. I am really excited to see how it works out.

For anyone who has not seen this modification: The motors and gearbox are in the shadows at the top of the picture. You can clearly see one of the springs on the right shaft.
